Short about the unit:

The Air Force Warfare Centre (LSS) is the Air Force's joint competence centre for education and development. At LSS you will find the Air Force schools, the Air Force Development Unit, and the Swedish Armed Forces' Canine Service Unit. LSS plays a crucial role in the development and growth of the future Air Force.

We are now looking for you who:

• are a professional officer but for various reasons have chosen to leave the Swedish Armed Forces – here is an opportunity to return and be rehired!
• have already retired but feel that you have more to give in working life and can imagine being rehired. New regulations make it possible for you to keep your pension while simultaneously being employed on a permanent or part-time basis within the Swedish Armed Forces
• are currently a reserve officer and are interested in a permanent or part-time position at LSS

Job Description:

Regardless of which position you hold, you will in some way work with supporting and creating conditions for the growth of the Swedish Armed Forces and the development of LSS.

Here you have the opportunity to assist in various projects and specific initiatives within the unit's departments, contribute to development work at one of the unit's schools, or serve as an extra resource during time-limited tasks.

We can offer work within various military positions:

• Tactics Officer
• Planning Officer
• Staff Officer/Staff NCO
• Instructor

Qualifications:

• Completed officer education with approved results (officer, specialist officer, or reserve officer education)
• Previous service with the Swedish Armed Forces or other defense-related activities
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
• Hold at least a Category B driver's license

Personal qualities

The tasks as an officer are varied, which requires that you can work in a structured and non-hierarchical manner. We are looking for you who have good communication skills, are a team player with high cooperation skills, and who is also proactive and able to work independently.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The Air Force Warfare Centre is the Air Force's joint competence centre for development and education. The Air Force Warfare Centre has four joint Air Force schools and educates, among others, future pilots within the Swedish Armed Forces. The Air Force Warfare Centre operates in seven locations spread across the country and has its headquarters in Uppsala.
